Why create a travel blog dedicated to Colorado outdoor adventures?

Colorado mountain adventures have always been in my life and lately as a 30 year old single woman, getting outside has become even more of a priority. After the last two years of a surprise medical problem, my dearest friends moving out of state, and starting a new job, I have been in need of nature's healing balm. I've always been creative, but haven't been leaning into that creativity in a long time. So Colorado Mountain Bound has been created to share my love for the outdoors of Colorado to connect with others, encourage many to step outside their homes and cities to escape into the never ending beauty that Colorado offers.

Why Colorado Mountain Bound?

One of the many things I love about having grown up in Colorado is that I don't need to travel out of state to see purple mountain majesty, to visit the high glowing walls of canyons, or to watch in fascination a rolling storm over the grand prairies of east. I'm bound to the state I love but in a positive form rather than negative. I lean towards escaping into the mountains west because their stunning peaks just do something unique to my soul.

Colorado Mountain Bound is outdoor adventure travel blog dedicated to budget friendly multi-day trips, half-day trails, or full day outings. I'm going to share my own travel stories in dedication to those friends I have shared these unique experiences, and also to encourage others to explore this wonderful state.

What to expect:

All Original Photos

All photos are original from my iPhone, SLR or film cameras. Most if not all the photos unedited, unfiltered, and completely taken from the natural landscape. I will include captions for location for each photo.

As a photogapher/graphic designer graduate from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, CO. My passion has always been to capture landscapes in their natural beauty.

Frequency of Posts

You can expect biweekly or monthly posts to Colorado Mountain Bound. As a individual that holds 2-3 jobs throughout the year, my schedule will ebb & flow with more frequent posting in the winter months (deepending on powder days...) than in the summer months.
